It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I usually find any excuse for putting up Christmas decor early and having a 9 month old who is fascinated with shiny balls and pretty lights is my excuse this year. Maverick LOVES the Christmas tree. If we bonk his head or he slips on the kitchen floor (which NEVER happens) we immediately bring him to the tree and he will stop crying.

decisions decisions

Maverick has begun to want things that mommy uses a lot such as cleaning supplies, coffee mugs, t.v. remotes, credit cards....you know, the essentials. when he crawled into this room he immediately passed up his two cars and little red bike to play with the vacuum. Another video captured him looking between his two favorite toys for a quite a while but it was having problems uploading so this one will do...

Harvest Party

Our church had a harvest party for haloween ....
Ryan (Wizard of Oz) Maverick (Lion) & Erica (Tinman)

Mike (scarecrow) Regan (Dorothy) Ryan, Maverick,
Erica & Cara (munchkin)

Ryan & Ronnie

Erica & Steve

Laney's cousin (lion), Laney(pig) & Maverick (the better lion)
This was Maverick's expression for most of the night.
He was extremely confused by all the costumes around him. We were slightly worried when a Chewbaca surprised him and expected tears but he reached out for the giant dog and smiled. He lasted at least an hour in the costume and kept wanting to play with mommy's toy ax. The night successfully ended with a bag full of candy for maverick to share with his parents.

Earlier in the week, we carved pumpkins
